D2-3 Technology watch report 2.0


This deliverable provides an overview of the existing ICT solutions for effective management of chronic diseases such as diabetes. These solutions are considered in three groups: (i) the solutions that support various agents, (ii) solutions for various activities, (iii) solutions for various services. A special attention is devoted to the (i) personalized health and disease management; (ii) predictive and proactive treatment (iii) support to involve the individuals in the improvement of their health status. Moreover, an overview is given for knowledge discovery and data mining methods appropriate for supporting the data and information management in chronic care. The trends are also considered from the point of view of the REACTION project.
