REACTION at ATTD 2013

The conference brings together the world’s leading researchers and clinicians for a lively exchange of ideas and information related to the treatment and prevention of diabetes and related illnesses. ATTD has become synonymous with top calibre scientific programs that have provided participants with cutting edge research and analysis into the latest developments in diabetes-related technology.

REACTION chaired a session on 2 March featuring:

• Introduction to the Reaction Project by Lydia Montandon (ATOS), Spain
• Applying the IEEE 11073 device standards to research projects by Malcolm Clarke (UBRUN), UK
• Rabbit 2 protocol as an improved protocol for in-hospital management of Type II diabetes by Thomas Pieber (MUG), Austria
• An integrated approach to the management of diabetes patients in primary care by Russell Jones (CHC), UK
• Development and application of a physiological based prediction model for closed loop glycaemic control by Stephan Schaller (BTS), Germany
• Novel continuous glucose sensor techniques by Thomas Klotzbuecher (IMM), Germany
